Although the 2008 Democratic National Convention will be winding down soon, SC Democrats still full of energy. We’re seeing the sites and raising our Party to new heights.
Last night, our delegation heard a riveting speech from Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton. Senator Clinton encouraged all Democrats to unite and stand behind our presidential candidate Barack Obama and praised him for his strengths. Although he is relatively young, Senator Obama has proven that he is a strong, experienced leader. He will bring much needed change to our country.
Senator Clinton also reminded her supporters of the fact that the only alternative to voting for Obama is Senator John McCain. As we all know (and Senator Clinton pointed out), John McCain is not the right option for us. His policies mirror the policies of our current adminstration. We don’t need four more years of George W. Bush.
After hearing Senator Clinton’s speech, Democrats left the convention feeling more united. SC Democrats are not being fooled by John McCain’s recent TV ads, that prey on Hillary Clinton supporters. The Clinton’s have pledged their support to Barack Obama and so have we.
Today, our delegation will nominate and celebrate our next Democratic president, Barack Obama. We’re so excited!

Being a veteran of 4 National conventions ‘88-2000, I’ve really been enjoying coverage on PBS. It shows most of the speeches while other networks are blowing smoke and PBS has discussions during intermissions similar to those I would have had at the same time had I been there on the floor. Please recommend to anyone not attending. Thanks for keeping us posted back in SC……………… PS: HAVE A BLAST!

I cried all night. This is my second Democratic National Convention and it has been my most emotional. Wednesday night was a beautiful night for party unity. An eloquent, funny and hearfelt passing of the torch from Bill Clinton to Barack Obama.
Joe Biden expressed the differences between the candidates. And it was well received.

This has been a moving convention. (And ETV is the way to go for watching it…only a few commercials and little commentary to tell you what to think.)
I can’t wait for Barack’s speech tonight! I am SURE he’s going to bring it!

Biden wasn’t quite as fire & brimstone as I wanted him to be against Bush’s regime. I too hope Obama brings the truth down…
