It’s so easy for Obama to talk about not supporting and voting for the invasion of Iraq, of course, he wasn’t in office then… but sure, he didn’t support it.

Hell yes! The longer we have troops on the ground in the Middle East, the stronger Al Quaeda in Iraq and elsewhere become. We are our own worst enemy regarding terrorism and the catalyst for explosive growth of suicide volunteers.

Biden is right though, scary as it is, it’ll take us a year or so to get the heck out of there… I say start now damnit!!!

The next President of the United States needs to make sure that the troops returning from Iraq and Afghanistan have jobs and pride and are remembered for their service and commitment. What do we say to the families of those who have already died in service to their country? We cannot allow them to be swept under a rug and the time of this war forgotten.

Asked when would “you as president” get the troops out:

Dodd says get them out by April 08.

Richardson says let’s just debate the issue some more. But let’s do some diplomacy…

Biden says, who cares, start now it’s going to take a full year anyways. Get-R-Done!

Clinton touts her record of supporting getting them out. But wants to do it safely and orderly.

Kucinich wants you to text him about getting the troops out now.

I’m having trouble keeping up with the dates.

Any way you schedule them, can any of these folks manage an effective withdrawal? How do we describe our departure from that country without undermining the confidence of other countries that depend on our strength?
