The NAACP is hosting an event IN SOUTH CAROLINA. The NAACP has been boycotting the Palmetto State for years, at a cost of millions to our economy. The NAACP refused to host the Tommy Moore/Mark Sanford debate in South Carolina. Yet when it come to raising money, South Carolina is a perfectly find place to go for fundraising. Blood may be thicker than water, but U.S. legal tender has more weight that principles. If the NAACP saw fit to hold their Guberantorial Debate in Georgia, then why not do the same for their Freedom Fund event? O.K., so let’s get this straight. Ms. Fowler said that the Florida Democratic Party is not to blame, because it was the Florida Republican General Assembly and the Florida Governor that move their date to Jan. 29. I also suspect that the South Carolina Republican Party may also have had something to do with it, because they seem to be so scared that this state will change and go Democratic in the General Election in 2008. I hope that South Carolina does not get overshadowed by Florida on that day, (Jan. 29). We (South Carolina Dems), have played by the rules, and deserve to have that day for ourselves, but since Florida will be having theirs too, we will have to share the spotlight with them. I just hope that the spotlight shines brighter on South Carolina that day. We deserve it!
